Catalyst Construction

Philosophy

Craftsmanship  •  Efficiency  •  Integrity  •  Sustainability

These are the foundation of Catalyst and the qualities we strive to deliver on every project.

Craftsmanship

The goal of every Catalyst project  is to make the home better serve its occupants with respect to the neighborhood and the environment. We pursue perfection from the moment we begin the initial design, during the  placement of electrical cable and supply plumbing, through every coped joint of crown moulding, right down to the final installation of finished fixtures. We build on the tradition of timeless craftsmanship with intent of our work being enjoyed for generations to come.

Efficiency

Decades of experience in new home building and remodeling have taught us that to stay on budget we must stay on schedule. We bring an economy of motion to every task within a project and our knowledge  of the trades allows us to move seamlessly from framing to ductwork, plumbing to wiring and so on. Catalyst is unique in the building community because in addition to our General Contractors license we also maintain Master Electrician, Master Plumber and Master Mechanical certifications. When the framer needs to relocate a vent pipe to install a structural header we don’t shut down, call the plumber and wait until he can get to our job later that week, we simply move the vent pipe and keep framing.

Integrity

We are designers, builders, tradesmen and business owners, but first we are citizens, husbands, fathers, and homeowners ourselves. We have experienced remodels in our own homes and know firsthand the pressure points our work can create. Perhaps equally important, answering to a budget at home helps us remain empathetic to the financial challenges our customers  face. It is our position that transparency must be maintained from our initial proposal to the final walk through.  Cultivating trust with performance is what we do.

Sustainability

Catalyst is  driven by a strong commitment to the environment. Remodeling and New Construction projects are inherently a stress on the planet due to the fossil fuels used to power tools and transport materials, the air and groundwater pollution created by demolition and disposal as well as the energy and resources consumed to create and install new materials. The burden of this understanding fuels our commitment to responsible design, durable material selection and efficient construction methods. We recycle usable materials or donate viable components to local Habitat for Humanity Restore locations. We always recommend sustainable materials and responsible vendors to our clients and routinely utilize green products and technologies in our projects.
